Escondido, CA — Thursday, October 13, 2016 — The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is proud to present one of country’s leading stars Montgomery Gentry on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the Concert Hall at 7:30 pm. Montgomery Gentry’s high-energy Southern rock revolutionized country music at the turn of the 2000s, scoring a long list of hit songs. Their outlaw meets-gentleman sensibilities, yin and yang personalities, and incredibly energetic live performances have drawn door-busting crowds for the past 15 years. Interviews and hi-res images are available upon request.
As one of the top duos performing in country music today, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry have collectively embraced the ever-changing environment of the genre while remaining true to their signature sound. Montgomery Gentry’s music has been representative of the working man, with blue-collar anthems about work ethic, , working hard and playing harder, being an honorable person, and appreciating life. On their newest album, Folks Like Us, tracks such as “That’s Just Living,” and “Better For It,” embrace these sentiments of loving life.
Some of Montgomery Gentry’s accomplishments include ACM and CMA Awards, and memberships into the Grand Ole Opry and the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. The band is signed to Blaster Records and has sold several million albums. They’ve worked with some of Nashville’s biggest hit songwriters including Jeffrey Steele, Tony Martin, Wendell Mobley, David Lee Murphy, Craig Wiseman, Chris Stapleton and Brett James.
Come out to the Center on November 6 and experience Montgomery Gentry, the trailblazers of contemporary country music!
