Escondido, CA — Monday, September 12, 2016 — The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is proud to present the phenomenal triple-threat fiddle champions The Quebe Sisters on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the Center Theater. The trio has managed to take the American scene by storm through a refreshing mixture of swing, vintage country, bluegrass, jazz, and Texas-style fiddling. With the ability to blend their voices in an intricately layered three-part harmony, The Quebe Sisters’ singular sound will have the audience blown away. Interviews and hi-res images are available upon request.
After attending their first fiddling competition in 1998, The Quebes (Hulda, Sophia and Grace) collectively decided that they’d pursue a career as professional fiddlers. In 2000, they formed The Quebe Sisters and have been fiddling together ever since. Both as individuals and as a group, the sisters have won State and National Championships in their respective age groups in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.
With more than a decade of performing around the world and three acclaimed studio albums tucked under their belt, The Quebe Sisters are seasoned musicians in a variety of genres and count many famous musicians among their biggest supporters. From headlining their own shows to sharing stages with American music legends such as Willie Nelson, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Ray Price and many others, the Quebes have already managed to exceed their wildest early aspirations.
Join their ever-growing fan base to witness the allure and pure raw talent of The Quebes Sisters at the Center on October 2, 2016!
