For Immediate Release: Center Stage: “Dancing through the Pages” Incorporates Literature and Dance


Escondido, California — :

The Education department at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido hosts another Center Stage: Performances for Youth show with Dancing through the Pages, on Wednesday, February 22, 2019 at 9:30am in the Center Theater.

Performed by Mojalet Dance Collective, Dancing Through the Pages uses literature and language as an inspiration for dance.

Inspired by concepts from School House Rock, stories, poems, picture books and novels, this program showcases creative movement designed to educate and entertain.

Generously funded by the California Arts Council, this performance series spans a variety of curriculum subjects including history, science, literature, music, dance, and world culture.

Each performance is accompanied by a study guide and genre-specific activities that connect to both Common Core English Language Arts Standards and California State Curriculum Standards.
