On May 16th, Cabaret in The Courtyard will present Music of the Night: The Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Our incredible vocalists will be singing songs from such shows as Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Sunset Boulevard, Phantom of the Opera and more, backed by a live band led by Musical Director and Broadway conductor Taylor Peckham. From soaring operatic ballads to high energy rock anthems, the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber has forever changed the landscape of musical theatre from Broadway to the West End and everywhere in between. ABOUT THE CAST
CASSIE B is a San Diego Native, living her dream of singing in her own band on the weekends, and making San Diegans more beautiful at the hair salon during the week. You can catch her jamming live with her cover band, Cassie B Project, or take your listening ears to Spotify, and search her original music- Cassie B and the Stingers. Growing up in the theater community, Cassie has had the honor of performing in many musicals. Her favorite has been playing the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Performing at SeaWorld, the SD Zoo, and LEGO Land just about every summer has given her so many great experiences and learning lessons through the years. She has been so lucky to have the chance to sing in a few Cabarets at the Merc also! Cassie feels so blessed to have this opportunity to sing for you in these crazy times. SANDY CAMPBELL’s most recent credits include Sister Act (Mother Superior) for San Diego Musical Theatre, Mr. and Mrs. Fitch (Mrs. Fitch) for Backyard Renaissance and Handbagged (Queen Elizabeth) for Moxie Theatre. Resident Artist at Cygnet Theatre: Parade (Lucille), A Little Night Music (Charlotte), The Norman Conquests (Sarah) to name a few. Associate Artist at Lamb’s Players Theatre: The Music Man, The Light in the Piazza, and Fiddler on the Roof. Other favorites include Fosca in Passion, Maria Callas in Master Class, Bev/Kathy in Clybourne Park and Lucy Simon’s Zhivago at the La Jolla Playhouse. PATRICK ORTIZ, a San Diego native, is a multifaceted performer and entertainer, taking on roles in various mediums. Credits include… TV: NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 1 where he played Eddie, One Life To Live, and the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. BROADWAY CREDITS: West Side Story (Chino) and Mamma Mia! (Eddie u/s) 1st NATIONAL TOURS: We Will Rock You (Brit u/s), West Side Story (Shark/Jet swing) REGIONAL: BAZ Star Crossed Love at The Palazzo, Las Vegas (Romeo, Dance Captain, and u/s the ballroom couple), The Brat Pack as the Jock/Dance Captain (Norwegian Cruise Lines and The Line Hotel, Los Angeles), Altar Boyz as Juan (North Carolina Theatre and Westchester Broadway Theater, NY) the MUNY’s West Side Story (Pepe), West Side Story as Bernardo (5-Star Theatricals) Mamma Mia! at The Tropicana, Las Vegas, Cathy Rigby’s Peter Pan, Orchid: A Burlesque Circus, Miami, FL as lead vocalist and vocal captain. Patrick has over 10 years of experience in teaching dance, vocal coaching and theatre. He has worked as a vocal demo recording artist and has played piano since age 4. He was accepted and studied in the Bachelor and Fine Arts Musical Theatre program at Cal State-Fullerton.
JEFFREY RICCA has headlined at multiple resorts, casinos throughout Las Vegas and top notch theaters all throughout Southern California, as well as the privilege of singing all over the world at sea. His credits include the Broadway national tours of South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof; international productions of Cabaret and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; memorable roles onstage as The Music Man, various productions of Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as donning the mask of the Phantom of the Opera. Jeff has also managed various academies of the Arts for over twelve years, including putting together annual children’s musical theater programs affiliated with Riverside Community Education. He is an acting coach in scene study/characterization and resident music director who teaches one-on-one voice instruction in the Inland Empire. FRANCESCA SOLA is an opera singer and recording artist born and raised in San Diego. Francesca sang for five seasons with the San Diego Opera and most recently appeared as Antonia in Man of La Mancha at both San Diego Musical Theatre and the Candlelight Pavilion. Previous roles include: Eponine in Les Misérables (Regional Tour), Cinderella in Into the Woods, Cunegonde in Candide, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Mrs. Darling in Peter Pan, and Hodel in The Fiddler on the Roof. Francesca has performed various international concerts from London, England to Milan, Italy. Closer to home, she has been a guest soloist for the Temecula Valley Symphony and Opera San Louis Obispo, and has been a part of the Rockwell Table and Stage and Cabaret at the Merc’s “Swingin’ with the Mouse” series. In addition to her live performing, her voice has been featured on various television shows on FOX, CBS and DreamWorks. Francesca has released a debut CD called “Run Free”, which features the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and can be found on iTunes and Spotify. TAYLOR PECKHAM (MUSICAL DIRECTOR) – After spending the last 3 years working in NYC, Taylor is thrilled to be back in his hometown of San Diego making music with his west coast pals. Having been lucky enough to work with Jeremy & Jordan many times over the years, Taylor is overjoyed to have the chance to join them again here, at their new CCAE home.

Cabaret shows will begin at 6:00 PM for a twilight entertainment experience. Table seating begins at 5:00 PM. Tables seat 2-4 guests.

ABOUT CABARET IN THE COURTYARD
Cabaret in The Courtyard is a new monthly cabaret series from the team behind Cabaret at The Merc. For 8 years, Producers Jordan Beck and J. Scott Lapp brought the very best of Broadway to the intimate historic venue in Old Town Temecula. Now part of the CCAE family, the duo is launching an exciting new series of monthly cabarets which will take place in the courtyard directing behind the Center Theater. Patrons will come to enjoy a more romantic, upscale atmosphere seated at cocktail tables with food and drink service available starting 1-hour before the performance. Individual tables can be purchased for groups of 2 or 4 (COVID-SAFE).
