CCAE Theatricals presents “Cocktail Hour: Songs of The Rat Pack”, a brand new concert event at the Drive-In at Cal State San Marcos. Join us on Sunday night, December 13th as we celebrate the songs of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Featuring an incredible cast of vocalists and a live Big Band including the D. Ben-jamin’ Horns, this classy evening under the stars will have you singing along to all of your favorite Rat Pack hits!

PATRICK BARNITT is a popular LA based crooner/actor who appears in venues all over the southland and most recently appeared at Herb Albert’s Vibrato. His new big band record SWAY features the Paul McDonald Big Band and trombonist/musical director Duane Benjamin and can be heard on KJAZZ and jazz stations around the country. Patrick is a frequent guest at the famed Hollywood Rat Pack lounge, The Dresden Room, with legends, Marty and Elayne Roberts. He appeared at Tiki Oasis in San Diego as the Crooner in the acclaimed show, Shag With A Twist. As an actor, he has appeared in Star Trek: First Contact, Las Vegas and starred in the indie thriller, Coffin. His most recent film is The Lost Day with Danny Trejo and Billy Baldwin. He is thrilled to be joining Cocktail Hour with this amazing group of singers and swingin’ band!


JOSHUA DAVID CAVANAUGH is a San Diego native who recently moved back from NYC. While on the east coast he regularly performed with a group called Shades of Bublé, a Michael Bublé tribute show. He has performed nationally and internationally. His regional credits include, Plaid Tidings (Rubicon), Treasure Island (Fulton), Light in the Piazza and Sweeney Todd (The Rev), First Date (SDMT and PRiMA), Little Women and Peter and the Starcatcher (The Barn Stage Company), Forever Plaid (Laurie Beechman and Moonlight Amphitheatre), The Untitled John Mayer Project (The Merc), Dracula (The Dio). Joshua holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Chapman University and an MM in Vocal Performance from NYU. He thanks his friends and family for their constant love and support. MATT FORBES – Bringing a bold, new sound to ‘vintage pop’, Matt Forbes is being hailed as one of the most important new voices to hit the genre in over a decade. As a lone baritone in a sea of pop tenors, the Canadian crooner is drawing widespread acclaim for his dynamic, soulful reinterpretations of pop songs, both old and new. MICHAEL WASHINGTON is a songwriter, performer, choir director, and a premier backup singer, who has recorded with Michael Bublé, Peaches and Herb, and has performed with many artists as a backup singer. He appeared in 20 feet from Stardom, a tribute to the inspirational true stories of backup singers and he also toured with Josh Groban and Judith Hill.  Michael is the baritone for The Alley Cats, America’s Premier Doo-Wop a cappella group. He was the opening act for Jay Leno & Joan Rivers and currently he is starring in the hit stage show, “Vegas, The Show!” at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. He took his 33-member gospel choir to win the Grand Championship in the 2001 McDonald’s Gospel Fest Competition. He has performed at Disneyland in “Groove ’66,” “Vocal Flight” and has tap danced and sang as a member of the “Dapper Dans” on Main Street USA. In addition, he performed in Tokyo DisneySea’s Broadway music review called “Big Band Beat”, and has performed in many shows for Universal Studios Japan and Hollywood. Michael has appeared in television shows, movies and commercials. “Gigli”, “The Fighting Temptations”, “The Wade Robson Project”, “The Cut” and The WB’s “Pop Stars”. He worked with Beyonce and Mike Epps and he has appeared as Young Paul in “The Saints” with Billy Dee Williams, “General Hospital”. He was also a Top 10 Finalist in Season 4 of B.E.T.’s “Sunday’s Best”.


DUANE BENJAMIN (Music Director/Conductor) – is an accomplished Musician, Orchestrator and Arranger. For over 30 years he has made a successful living playing trombone, electric bass, and arranging “clean, easy to read charts” for industry legends and everyday musicians alike. His orchestrations were featured regularly on FOX Television’s American Idol and various musical theater plays in the LA area! He has also arranged and orchestrated for NBC’s The Singing Bee as well as The Voice. On BETS Gospel Celebration he has orchestrated for artists like Keyshia Cole, Jill Scott, Maxwell, Alexander Hamilton, and legendary soul singer Al Green. He has performed and recorded with jazz greats like the Count Basie Orchestra, Stanley Clark, The Gerald Wilson Orchestra and The Clayton Hamilton Orchestra, not to mention contemporary legends like BTS, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Earth Wind & Fire, Jamiroquai, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Four Tops, rock guitarist Steve Vai, Kirk Franklin and many more.
