Cabaret in the Courtyard is taking a trip back in time to celebrate The Sounds of the 70’s! An incredible roster of singers, backed by our resident CITC Band, will be performing songs by the likes of ABBA, Carly Simon, Bruce Springsteen, and more!

BRYAN BARBARIN is grateful to be performing in front of a live audience again. He was last seen in the roles of Eddie/Dr. Scott in CCAE Theatricals’ The Rocky Horror Picture Show Drive-In Experience at Cal State San Marcos last October. He has been a stage actor for over 15 years and now spends his time playing in two international touring bands. To him live art is the pinnacle of human expression and he’s pleased as punch sharing that experience with you. Rock on!

JULIE GARNYÉ is a Grammy-nominated singer, actress, voiceover artist, host, writer, producer, director, technical producer and voice teacher. She was most recently seen as an original cast member of the first national tour of the Broadway hit COME FROM AWAY. She is also the singing voice of the fairy Lyria in the Tinker Bell series of films for Disney Animation. On television, Julie most recently appeared as an original cast member of FATWA! The Musical during season nine of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Julie was also the “In Memoriam” soloist for the 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards telecast and was a part of the Les Misérables ensemble for the Academy Awards (The OSCARS) telecast in 2013. Theatre career highlights include Grizabella in the 5th national tour of the musical CATS, Broadway’s HAIR in Concert and CHESS in Concert at The New Amsterdam Theatre, Jenny Steinberg in the Southern California premiere of IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, FIRST THINGS LAST at London’s Garrick Theatre and her three Summer Musical appearances at The Hollywood Bowl: LES MISÉRABLES, CHICAGO and MAMMA MIA!. MICHAEL LANNING began performing in theatre at the age of nine. With an extensive background and training in music and theatre, Michael has been a featured performer in many theatre companies including San Bernardino Civic Light Opera and the legendary Summer Stock, Junior University. Michael has recorded and/or toured with such musical greats as Donovan, Fleetwood Mac, Rockpile, Larry Gatlin, Frank Wildhorn, Mike Post, and George Harrison. Michael’s band, Jiva, was the first American band signed to the Harrison label, Dark Horse Records, with George serving as their executive producer. Michael starred in both the Tony nominated Broadway and National Tour Productions of composer Frank Wildhorn’s THE CIVIL WAR. He played Dozer in the World Premiere Musical MASK at The Pasadena Playhouse, based on the motion picture starring Cher. He was featured as The Preacher in the World Premiere Musical BONNIE & CLYDE at The La Jolla Playhouse, The Asolo Theatre in Sarasota, FL, and on Broadway at The Gerald Schoenfeld Theater in 2011. He was also a featured vocalist for six years with The Trans-Siberian Orchestra and was introduced as “The most soulful white man on the planet.”

SANDRA RICE is elated to be a part of the CCAE Theatricals Cabaret Series. Sandra has performed throughout Southern California for the past 20 years. Past credits include Nancy in OLIVER! at the Laguna Playhouse, Betty Haines in WHITE CHRISTMAS at Pechanga Resort and Casino, Fraulein Kost in CABARET at Broadway at the Gardens: Lewis Family Playhouse, Lola in DAMN YANKEES with Inland Valley Repertory, Aldonza in MAN OF LA MANCHA, Baker’s Wife in INTO THE WOODS at the historic California Theatre, Morticia in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Miss Sandra in ALL SHOOK UP at Center Stage Theatre…to name a few! Sandra has also performed as a Janis Joplin impersonator throughout So Cal and had the great honor of performing with Josh Groban in his STAGES tour at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. ALEKS PEVEC was born and raised in Hawaii and has performed around Los Angeles and NYC.  Brodway credits: CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, EVITA, ALADDIN, THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, and SOMETHING ROTTEN! In Los Angeles he was in the original casts of WHITE CHRISTMAS and WICKED at the Pantages Theatre. Most notably he played the title role in THE WHO’S TOMMY with Alice Ripley and Nona Hendryx. During the pandemic he started a surf business called Lipsmack Surf. The mission being that every person, and every couple, be granted a safe place to learn how to catch a wave. Enjoy a more romantic, upscale atmosphere seated at cocktail tables with food and drink service available starting 1-hour before the performance. Individual tables can be purchased for groups of 2 or 4 (COVID-SAFE). Easy parking and/or drop off is available in the lot between the courtyard and City Hall, entrance off of W Valley Pkwy.
