California Connections: Selections from the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego
July 8 – August 27, 2017
This collaborative exhibition draws from the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego’s (MCASD) permanent collection, featuring works by beloved California artists while highlighting the wide range of practices and perspectives that have shaped the art of our region from the 1950s to today.
MCASD and The California Center for the Arts, Escondido (the Center) share a commitment to serving diverse audiences and bringing people together through art. This partnership expands the audience of both organizations and invites members of the two Museums to visit both institutions throughout the run of the exhibition with reciprocal free admission.

Anthony Graham is Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. He is currently working as exhibition and publication coordinator on the exhibition, Memories of Underdevelopment at MCASD as part of the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time L.A./L.A. initiative. Recent exhibitions include Dimensions of Black (2016) and Holdings: Selections from MCASD’s Collection (2016). He has also assisted with special exhibitions Ed Ruscha Then & Now Paintings from the 1960s and 2000s (2015) and San Diego Collects (2015). He received his master’s degree from Columbia University and holds a BA from the University of San Diego.
