“Whose Line Is It Anyway? is what may be one of the funniest shows on network television today.” -The New York Times

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido (the Center) proudly presents two gut-busting evenings of comedy from Kathleen Madigan and Whose Live Anyway?. Heralded comedian Kathleen Madigan brings her signature brand of sarcasm to the Center on March 6, 2015. Audiences can also join the cast from the Emmy-nominated TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” for a night of unforgettable improv comedy and song when Whose Live Anyway? appears on May 30, 2015. Interviews and hi-res photos are available upon request.

Late-night talk show circuit veteran Kathleen Madigan is one of the most respected comedians of her generation. Over her 25-year career, the comedian has performed on nearly every standup television show, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, and Conan. Madigan has released 5 CDs and 3 DVDs, and has starred in multiple HBO and Comedy Central specials, as well as 3 CMT Salute to the Troops specials with Ron White.

Kathleen Madigan was nominated for a 2014 American Comedy Award for “Best Concert Comic”. Her third hour-long special, Madigan Again, which iTunes named one of the “Best Comedy Albums of 2013”, premiered exclusively on Netflix to rave reviews. A favorite on nationally syndicated radio shows such as The Bob and Tom Show and The Stephanie Miller Show, she is also in constant rotation on SIRIUS-XM Radio and has been repeatedly voted a #1 audience favorite by its listeners. She remains the only comedian in the history of NBC’s Last Comic Standing to go unchallenged by any other comedian — meaning no comedian would say they were funnier than her.

Whose Live Anyway? is a unique opportunity for audiences to experience the Emmy-nominated “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” in a live format. A hilarious 90 minutes of comedy and song, the ensemble’s improvisations are all based on audience suggestions, in which audience members may even be asked to participate!

Comedians and ”Whose Line Is It Anyway?” favorites Ryan Stiles (The Drew Carey Show), Greg Proops (The Smartest Man in the World), Jeff B. Davis (The Sarah Silverman Program), and Joel Murray (Mad Men) invent incredibly witty scenes right before your eyes, performing some of the games made famous on the TV show, along with plenty of brand new games. It’s a night of unforgettably funny interactive comedy that will keep you laughing days later!
