Classical Academy High School is excited to present Mamma Mai! Mamma Mia! is a jukebox musical with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, formerly of the Swedish pop group ABBA, and a book by British playwright Catherine Johnson. It is named after one of ABBA’s most famous songs, “Mamma Mia”. The story follows Sophie, a young woman who is about to get married on a Greek island. She secretly invites three men from her mother’s past to the wedding, as she believes one of them is her father. The musical is full of ABBA hits, such as “Dancing Queen”, “Take a Chance on Me”, and “The Winner Takes It All”.
