Every second Saturday of the month, the Museum offers pay-what-you-can admission to the galleries and interactive activities suitable for all ages. This month, join us for two curator-led tours of current exhibitions. At 12:00 pm, join curator Rokhsane Hovaida in learning more about the artists featured in Staging the Future and the work in Kerry Soori McEachern: Of Love and Light. At 1:00 pm, join curator Parisa Majidy to learn about the artwork currently on view in Prelude to Resonance (Week Three: Beyond Silence), and her work through Escondido-based nonprofit Parisa Projects.

Week Three: Beyond Silence

Through abstraction, symbolism, and raw expression, KHOR artists like Ali Saeedi and Ayda Roozbayani tackle themes of struggle, endurance, and societal reflection. Saeedi’s surreal landscapes blend abstraction and figuration to offer poignant reflections on collective memory and crises, while Roozbayani’s juxtaposition of human emotions with nature explores themes of introspection and the impact of industrialization. Their works provide powerful meditations on the fragility of existence and the unspoken complexities of modern life.
