Winter Wonderland Festival

December 6 and 7, 2025 | 1:00 to 5:00 PM

Each year, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Foundation transforms downtown into a magical Winter Wonderland. Families can play in real snow, make festive crafts, and visit Santa while enjoying seasonal food, drinks, and holiday shopping.

This free community event brings the magic of the North Pole to the heart of Escondido — a cherished tradition and the perfect way to welcome the holiday season.

Event Highlights

Real Snow

Throw a snowball, build a snowman, or make a snow angel. Children and families can enjoy our snow play area, the Escondido Snow Club, filled with real snow blown fresh each day. Generously sponsored by Viasat Fiber powered by Fiber City.

Santa Claus

Straight from the North Pole, Santa will join us both days to hear every child’s holiday wishes.

Storybook Characters and Carolers

Meet your favorite storybook characters and enjoy live performances by Victorian carolers spreading festive cheer.

Holiday Market

Shop for handmade gifts and unique creations from local artists, makers, and crafters — perfect for your holiday list.

Delicious Food and Drinks

Enjoy seasonal treats and warm beverages from local favorites including Potion 7 Creamery, La Habanera, Churros Don Karlitos, Rock On Pizza, Paraná Empanadas, and more.
