ESCONDIDO, CA — January 21, 2026 Voices of Our City Choir invites the community to experience an uplifting evening of music, culture, and connection with Celebration of Black Joy: A Journey Through Inspirational Music, taking place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

Presented as part of the California Center for the Arts’ First Wednesday series, this FREE concert will feature Voices of Our City Choir for a powerful performance of joy, resilience, and shared humanity through inspirational music.

Known for its moving performances and community-centered mission, the San Diego based nonprofit Voices of Our City Choir uses music and the arts to amplify the voices of people impacted by homelessness. This concert highlights the richness of Black musical influence across decades and reflects the hope, resilience and joy that each of our Choir Members bring to the stage.

The concert is open to the public and free to attend, offering an opportunity for audiences of all ages to come together and celebrate through song.

About Voices of Our City

Founded in 2016, Voices of Our City Choir is a nonprofit arts and advocacy organization that uses the power of music to support and uplift people experiencing homelessness. Based in San Diego, California, Voices provides a safe, creative community for its 100+ members to develop renewed hope, personal empowerment, and the life skills to achieve their goals.
