Several participants from Escondido and beyond descended into the Black Box studio at the
California Center for the Arts, Escondido, forming a cohesive group of like-minded and curious
seekers, wondering what PUBLIC THERAPY THEATRE! was all about! By the end, several
mentioned “transformative breakthroughs” from their experience – with one audience member
commenting,
“We came in as people, just ‘chit-chatting,
’ and ended up leaving as a community.
”In this mature interweaving of storytelling, soul-sharing, deep listening and audience feedback,
participants have the chance to “break open” and shift their personal narratives of what might be
holding them back in life with Tes Kempner, Transformational Performance Artist and dynamic
Self-Expression Facilitator.
You’ll get to free pent-up energy, unlock suppressed joy, and express yourself in ways you never
thought possible. Each session, a few volunteers will have an opportunity to “theatricalize”
personal stories in an innovative, impactful way. Sing, dance, shout, laugh, cry—spectate or
participate in a safe, supportive, and dynamic space where all authentic expression is welcome.
We promise you an experience unlike anything you’ve encountered before!!
Be sure to join us on our second and third evenings of PUBLIC THERAPY THEATRE! at the
California Center for the Arts, Escondido – $20 per evening on March 24th!
