The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is proud to host Philipp Scholz Rittermann as our 2023/2024 Center Artist. His breathtaking photography can be seen throughout our campus in the Concert Hall, Conference Center, administration office, and boardroom. In celebration of this exciting announcement and partnership, the CCAE is presenting a selection of Rittermann’s work in the museum.

Orange Glen High School Print and Graphics Department

With one of the most impressive print and graphics departments around, Orange Glen High School offers its students a hands-on experience in learning how to create digital images as well as the opportunity to master the use of the machines that produce them. Under the direction of Aled Anaya the program produces innovative thinkers with an encouraging path toward a career in the arts.

Huai Li
October 22, 2022 – April 16, 2023

Huai Li’s process involves relentless experimentation, bouts of self-doubt, and liberating moments of confirmation.  Her artmaking is both risky and thrilling while revealing a tender vulnerability.This exhibition reveals the never-ending journey of self-discovery and personal transformation that drives Li’s work. Her insistence upon connectivity, personal exploration, and play informs her work and process.

A Lived Experience

December 3 – April 16, 2023

The Printmaking Class at California State University, San Marcos created a series of woodcuts each inspired by personal storytelling, memories, experiences, and meaningful content that portrayed visual autobiographical documentation.
