The Center Chorale was introduced during The Center’s 2012-13 season and has become one of North San Diego County’s premier choral ensembles. Conducted by Dr. Joe Stanford, past chair of the Palomar College Performing Arts Department, the 50-voice chorus showcases masterworks by various composers in a variety of musical styles. The Center Children’s Chorus is comprised of three choir levels: Brio, Arioso, and the Coro Vivo Youth Choir.
The season debuts on Friday, October 25, 2014 and continues until Sunday, May 31, 2015. Stanford comments, “This exciting season consists of music for everyone, from beautiful meditative music to acrobatic barbershop singing, masterworks by Beethoven and concluding with a dramatic opera performance with soloists, chorus and orchestra. I look forward to presenting this music to our community. Our singers in the Choral Arts Program are anticipating a year of joyous music-making.”
